For the flood mitigation plan project (RTB) in Section 25 Shah Alam, the project site is situated in a low-lying area below the flood water level of Sg Klang. The overflow of Sg Klang flood waters into the project areas is due to extreme weather conditions. Challenges such as an ineffective drainage system (characterized by a very flat bed gradient, etc.), clogged existing drainage systems (caused by littering, siltation, collapse, etc.), and the absence of flood control gate structures in Sections 23 and 26 contribute to the issue. The project aims to create a resilient and sustainable flood management system for Section 25, Shah Alam, safeguarding the community and minimizing the impact of future flooding events.
